Materials
Needed to Implement the
Texas Scottish Rite Dyslexia Training Program
Alabama schools may obtain DVDs with the Dyslexia Training Program lessons from the Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation by calling 205-942-2687.
In addition to the DVD-based lessons, all students will need the following materials which may be ordered from Educators Publishing Service at 1-800-225-5750. Non-consumable materials are indicated with a ~ and may be shared by students in different classes and may be reused in subsequent years. These prices are taken from page 95 of the EPS 2005 Catalog.

Handwriting and Linkage Paper (one box is sufficient for 6 students to complete the entire two year program). Cost: $120 (or $20 per student for the two-year curriculum) This paper is not copyrighted and may be duplicated if desired.
COMBINED COST OF MATERIALS
The cost for student consumable materials is $111.60 per student for the two-year curriculum if quantities of 6 or more are ordered and $160.95 if quantities of less than 6 are ordered.
The cost for teacher guides (which are not consumable) and which would be a one-time expense as the program is initiated is $119.65.
~Let's Read Books
The Let's Read books are non-consumable decodable texts and should be purchased to equip the classroom in which the dyslexia classes will be conducted throughout the day. As the class size is recommended to be 4-6 students, a total of 6 Let's Read books should be a sufficient quantity. The cost of six copies of each of the three Let's Read books used in the dyslexia program is $157.50.
