Services for Teachers and Schools
(all services are provided at no cost to teachers or schools)
We are happy to serve as consultants to teachers of students whom we have evaluated and who have been determined to be experiencing dyslexia, language-learning disabilities, or severe speech or language disabilities.
We will work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the IEP team to develop goals and benchmarks necessary to assist students in reaching their academic potential.
We will also provide teachers with in-service training in the areas of identification and remediation of dyslexia.
We will provide teachers with in-service training in the areas of language-learning disabilities and severe speech or language disabilities.
We will provide each public school system in Alabama with a copy of the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital Dyslexia Training Program and Literacy Program videotapes at no cost following in-service training if school system personnel wish to utilize these materials with students.
